Gonorrhea And Its Cure

Gonorrhea is one common type of STD. It is called by the bacterium Neissie gonorrhoeae that grows and multiplies rapidly in warm and damp areas of your reproductive tract. It is the second most commonly reported STD in the United States. Gonorrhea can affect the mouth, throat, anus, cervix, and urethra. Caused by bacteria know as Neisseria gonorrhoeae which grows and spreads in the warm, moist areas of the reproductive organs including the cervix, the urethra and the fallopian tubes in women.

The disease is also known as the "silent infection" because over half of the women who are infected will not show gonorrhea symptoms or will mistake those as mild bladder infection. For those women who do exhibit gonorrhea symptoms, the common ones are: frequent and painful urination, vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, and bleeding in between periods. In men, these are: frequent and painful urination, discharge from the penis, and sometimes, painful and swollen testicles.

Gonorrhea is caused by a bacteria Neisseria that grows and multiples quickly in moist, warm areas of the body such as the cervix, urethra, mouth or rectum. Gonorrhea is curable. The primary cause of Gonorrhea is the bacterium -- Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This bacterium needs a moist and warm environment to reproduce itself and these ideal locales are to be found in the reproductive section of a woman as well as the urinary canal besides the anus, eyes, throat and also the mouth.

Symptoms:

In men a burning sensation during urination, and/or a green, white, or yellow discharge from the penis are the most common and noticeable symptoms of gonorrhea. Less frequently, men may develop a painful swelling in the testicles. Men typically develop symptoms of gonorrhea shortly after infection usually within two to five days. In rarer cases symptoms have been known to take as long as a month to appear.

In women the difficulty arises because of the fact that symptoms of gonorrhea infection may not be evident at all. Even when symptoms are noticeable, they are so generalized that they are frequently mistaken for a bladder or vaginal infection.

When a woman does have symptoms, they can be non-specific and are often mistaken for a bladder or vaginal infection.

Home remedies:

1. cooked food with little saturated fat.

2. Ghee is highly beneficial for patient of gonorrhea.

3. Kanji, the water left after rice is cooked, is effective for gonorrhea treatment.

4. Barley, oats and fruits with high water content can help in getting some relief.

Several drugs can be used to cure gonorrhea.

However, drug-resistant strains of gonorrhea as many people with gonorrhea also have Chlamydia, another sexually transmitted disease.


How It Spreads:

The most important point about Gonorrhea is that it gets transmitted through sexual acts.

Gonorrhea primarily spreads from women to others. However, Gonorrhea can also spread from an infected man to men and women during sexual contacts.

However, it is not necessary that Gonorrhea spreads through only ejaculation. Contacts with infected persons through the anus, mouth, vagina and penis are enough to contact Gonorrhea.
